I was using a pair of scissors this morning to break down boxes.  I had them open, flush straight with my index finger applying pressure to the joint of the aparatus.  I then, without thinking, closed the scissors trapping my index finger between the two handles.  My nail then split and starting bleeding. 

I cut myself on the dull side of the scissors.  Then I went and played solo piano for four hours.  It’s purple and throbbing.  Tomorrow’s gig should be fantastic.

People my age need to learn how to tip.  Tip their bartenders, servers and free musicians.
